Privacy Policy

Last updated August 12, 2026. This policy describes survivorsofabusenj.com, operated by Messa Law.

The short version

If you fill in the case review form, what you type is stored on this website and sent to the case management system this office uses. It is not sold, and it is not shared with anyone else. If you only read the site, we collect analytics about the visit and nothing that identifies you by name.

You can ask us to delete anything you have sent, at any time, and we will.

What the form collects

The case review form asks for a first and last name, an email address and a phone number, so that someone can reply to you. Everything after that is optional and can be left blank: when the abuse happened, what type of case it is, where it happened, what happened, and anything else you want the attorney to know.

The form also records the page you were on when you submitted it and the time of submission, and it contains a hidden field that is invisible to you and is used only to detect automated spam.

What happens to it

  1. It is stored on this website as a private record, visible only to the site’s administrators.
  2. It is transmitted over an encrypted connection to the case management system used by this office to handle enquiries.
  3. If that transmission fails, a copy is emailed to the office so that your message is not lost.

It is not sold, rented, or shared for marketing. It is not passed to lead brokers, to other law firms, or to advertising networks.

Confidentiality, and its limit

What you send is treated as confidential. Please note that sending this form does not create an attorney client relationship, and information sent before such a relationship exists may not be protected by attorney client privilege. For that reason, please do not send confidential details you would not want read by someone who is not yet your lawyer. A short call is a better place for those.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how the site is used. It records the pages you visit, roughly where in the world you are, the type of device and browser you use, and how you arrived. It sets cookies for that purpose.

It also records when someone clicks a phone number, starts the form, moves between its steps, and submits it. These are recorded as events without the contents of what you typed.

Your name, email address, phone number and the details of your case are never sent to Google Analytics.

You can block this entirely with a browser setting, an ad blocker, or your device’s tracking controls, and the site works normally with it blocked.

What this site does not do

  • No advertising or remarketing pixels.
  • No third-party fonts, script libraries or content delivery networks, so no request leaves this site to load the page.
  • No comment system, and no user accounts.
  • No selling or sharing of personal information.

The page also sets a referrer policy that prevents the address of the page you were reading from being passed to any site you click through to. That matters here more than on most sites.

How long anything is kept

Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond to them and to meet the record keeping obligations that apply to a law practice. Analytics data is retained according to Google’s settings for this property.

Your choices

You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to the address below or call, and say what you want done. There is no form to fill in and no fee.

Children

This site is intended for adults. It is often used by adults enquiring on behalf of a child, which is expected and welcome, but the site does not knowingly collect information directly from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
